The actor's attorneys say he is refusingto pay the $130,000 price tag the city demanded and now city officials say they’re ready to file lawsuit.

Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx is feeling the heatfrom the Fraternal Order of Police. They've also requested a federal investigation of her office after it dropped all charges against Smollett.

Several cook county suburban police chiefs say Foxx is putting criminals backon the streets and endangeringinnocent people.

Foxx's office says the Smollett case is an excuse for the police force to resist her office's effort to keep people safe and reduce harm.
