Two newcomers to the Chicago food scene have been named Esquire’s Best New Restaurants in America

Its been a big week for Chicago, from being recognized the No. 1 city in the U.S. by readers of Conde Nast Traveler, to having an overflow of talented people coming to the city for Chicago Ideas Week. The uniqueness and innovation in our city has been on display. Two newcomers to Chicago’s culinary scene have now been recognized by Esquire magazine as two of the best new American restaurants of 2017. 

Roister, the latest endeavor of superstar chef Grant Achatz, located 951 W. Fulton Market, was chosen for its Southern-influenced sandwiches along with its eclectic atmosphere. The other featured restaurant was Kitsune, located at 4229 N. Lincoln Avenue. It was recognized thanks to some ornate ramen dishes and a diverse team. 

These are two recent editions that reflect the distinctive culinary options in the Windy City.
