Prep Football Takes to the Field on Game of the Week
The high school football season is here and if you’re looking for live coverage of the BEST matchups in the state, turn to Game of the Week! Kickstarting this year’s broadcasts is a west suburban schools face-off between York High School and Lyons Township.
This season, both teams have been doing consistently well. Lyons Township is currently 5-2 in 2023, suffering two tough back-to-back losses against Oak Park-River Forest and Proviso West. They were able to stunt their small losing streak this past Friday, October 6, with a win against Downers Grove North 17-7.
York High School has been a force to be reckoned with consistently securing a spot in Michael O’Brien’s Chicago Sun-Times Super 25 list. Friday, October 6, they suffered their first loss of the season against Glenbard West with a final score of 28-7 causing their #4 ranking in the Super 25 list to drop to #10.
