We change our schedule around for a number of reasons. The main one being, we are allowed a limited number of runs or times we can air each episode during a certain time period. We don't own these shows, we just rent them so to speak. Thanks for your patience while your favorites are on vacation.

We want to
be on Dish and DIRECTV, however both satellite companies claim there is no
channel space in Chicago for Me-Too or our other stations. We continually try and get them
added, and are not asking to be paid for our programming. We know it’s
frustrating. However, we can suggest, other than switching to cable, that you
get an over the air antenna and watch our stations for free!

Yes- running on WFLD from 1979 to 1986.
Jerry G. Bishop- on WFLD- from 1970 to 1973.
He gave me, Rich Kozi, permission to be “Son of Svengoolie” and, when I came to WCIU in 1995, gave me permission to just be “Svengoolie.”
His original theme song (and mine for my first year) was “Rumble” by Link Ray- sweetened with a track of a woman screaming!
It’s an original tune by Doug Graves, titled “Son’s Theme”-
derived from my days as Son of Svengoolie.
When Jerry G. was starting his show, “Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In” and Johnny Carson were making small town jokes about “beautiful downtown Burbank.” Also, famous Cleveland horror host Ghoulardi, who was on TV opposite Jerry when he was there, made fun of local suburb Parma.
Jerry discovered the little town that had a parade in honor of mushrooms every year, and decided it would be his target for jokes.
Rubber chickens are an old comedy prop going all the way back to vaudeville days- Jerry thought it would be funny for him to be pelted with them every time he did a corny punch line. I continue the “family” tradition.
Constantly.
Yes. Don’t hold that against me.
Nope- never.
No. No. NO!
Yes, but that doesn’t mean we’d be able to run it-
It depends on broadcast rights, scheduling, etc.- but I’m always happy to hear what you’d like to see.
Unfortunately, no- all previous designs have sold out before we offered a new design.
