The Chicago Alternative Comics Expo [CAKE] is a weekend-long celebration of independent comics. Chicago is home to many underground and alternative comics artists and you will be able to see their work on display. The event is free to attend.
Kickback and enjoy a cold beer in Hyde Park this weekend. Over thirty breweries will be offering their best summer brews. There will also be live music. Tickets start at $25.
Gospel music has deep roots in Chicago and that will be celebrated all weekend. The 33rd Gospel Music Festival will be held at the Chicago Cultural Center and Millennium Park. Come check out both local and national artists.
