... & you know there's always a story, right? :)  BUT it's not the worst case scenario, thank goodness.   So let's get down to the business at hand: A.)... I have to say I'm sorry that I haven't been around and that I've been out of touch.  and 2.)... here's the deal:

I had surgery.  It wasn't anything life-threatening (I had fibroids removed - 7 of 'em!) but it was major surgery and I'm a little superstitious (ok, a lot) because you never know what could happen, how things are going to turn out and how you'll feel about asking questions regarding really personal stuff after it's all said and done.  That's why I didn't make this big announcement beforehand.  That's just me.

The good news is everything went very well, I'm on the mend and I will be coming back to You & Me This Morning soon.  BUT I still need to be out for a few weeks to recuperate and get my stamina back.  (BTW, my hats off to you ladies who've had C-sections and are still able to take care of your babies -- that bikini incision is no joke!  It didn't hurt too much but it did  knock me off my feet.  Literally! LOL)

Thanks to all of you who sent notes, emails, called, prayed for me, sent me good thoughts, vibes & juju... it helped immensely (and still is!).  Thanks also to Melissa for agreeing to fill in (especially w/those crazy hours you thought you'd left behind!) and my bosses, my production team, coworkers, family & friends for being so supportive.   I'm always trying to do everything for myself but I've discovered that when you need help and are at your most vulnerable, your true blue aces will be there to give you what you need... AND the things you couldn't have known you needed.

Hi Jeanne, So glad to see that you are better and back. I really missed you while you were gone. I had a C-section in 1984 and fibroids removed (all bikini cuts) in 1992. I am so much better; it was very challenging, but I am happy and healthy now. Continue to heal and get your strength back. It does take time. Will continue to pray for you and your total healing daily. GOd bless you. And Jeanne, you are a ray of sunshine to many people. A true fan, Corine!

Jeanne I'm so glad that you care enough about your viewers to share your personal information. I was wondering where you were. You are truly missed. I will send up prayers for your recovery. I know how it feels when your mind is ready to go but your body says "whoa, nelly!!" Rest. Relax. Recover.

So glad to hear you are on the mend Jeanne! I was wondering where you were when you were gone longer than a week, figured it wasn't vaca! You have gotten me thru my own bed rest of medical leave so I know what you are going thru! Melissa did a great job filling in, love her much, but we can't wait for you to be back doing what you love and doing it the way we love it! Get well, take care of you first though - we'll be here! Hi Jeannie, Glad to hear you well and will be back soon. I had the same surgery last yr and my was the size of a small watermelon and I'm good I was up and driving three days later. I know your going to be just fine Your in my prayers your friend Nina :-)

Jeanne, I feel your pain, I had the same operation but I only had one tumbor removed. I can not even imagine 7. I will keep you in my prayers. Tara a Fan
