Mayoral Candidate Amara Enyia Explains Financial Struggles

Chicago is three weeks away from voting for the city's next mayor and one candidate is in hot water after reports of her financial struggle became public.

Amara Enyia addressed her financial struggles saying this is what everyday chicagoans go through. She says she has based her campaign on her experiences and wants to prevent others from going through that hardship.

In a press conference, aimed to call out Fox 32 for only inviting five out of 14 candidates to a mayoral debate, Enyia opened up a recent Chicago Tribune report.

It revealed Enyia failed to report to the IRS $21,000 she made last year were while working on Democratic Candidate Chris Kennedy's campaign.

She was also sued after falling behind on her student loan payments, rent and federal taxes. Enyia was fined $72,000 for failing to file campaign finance reports, but that was covered by artist Kanye West.
