Hope you enjoyed the ‘Demon Knight” last night- I’ve always thought that it was a very watchable flick. Our sound guy/editor Kevin pointed out that, in Dick Miller’s demon-induced fantasy, among the bikini girls surrounding him were “Baywatch” beauty Traci Bingham and (ahem) “adult star” Chasey Lain. Kevin is a great movie and tv buff (not to mention comics as well)-and now can add a new credit to his resume- he’s an extra in the Will Ferrell movie “Stranger Than Fiction!” Kev is in the crowd behind Ferrell at the bus stop. Please do not swamp him asking for autographs, the next time he joins us for a Sven public appearance- oh, heck, go ahead and swamp him!(Yes, he is the immortal Kevin of whom I ask “hit the theme, Kevin” at the end of each mail segment!) My movie extra career is limited to a direct-to-video movie called “Thinking Big” (NOT the Barbarian Bros. film) that was locally produced- I was working on a project with the folks who were producing it, and they asked me to be an extra in a party scene. We shot in a lovely home in Evanston, and the story revolved around a small boy whose talking teddy bear shows him what it’s like to be an adult (not an “adult star.”) You can catch me in the background, at times, behind the boy and the bear. The big time movie that Sven was ALMOST in was “Detroit Rock City!” The film’s director, Adam Rifkin, used to watch me- and wanted to have Sven on the television in the background when the kids were talking about making their trek to see a KISS concert. This all went down the tubes when they changed the STATE that the kids lived in- to a location where Sven was not on back in that year.(Actually, the film takes place in 1978- a year before I was on anywhere!) So much for my film credit right after Paul Stanley… I’ll give you credit for coming here to check out ye olde blog. Drag yourself back here tomorrow for more… # # #
