Lollapalooza kicks off, Chicago-born artist to close festival


Lollapalooza is back in town with more security and new entrance restrictions. The festival starts today and so far Superintendent Eddie Johnson has said there are no known threats.

Headliners include Bruno Mars, Arctic Monkeys, The Weeknd and Jack White. John Splithoff will be closing out the festival on the BMI stage on Sunday. Splithoff was born in Chicago and went to chase his dreams in New York. He will be on tour this fall, his new single is “Sing to You”, he’s top 10 in adult radio and has had 30 million digital streams.
