Local treasure campsite near Chicago

If you've ever wanted to get away from the city here is your chance. Take a trip to Glencoe, Illinois and enjoy their group campsite called the Little House of Glencoe on Birch Lane. It's a cabin-like getaway that was built in the 1940s and was founded by the Glencoe Girl Scout leaders who wanted a safe and comfortable place for their Girl Scouts.

Nowadays anyone can rent out the space for birthdays, gatherings, the scouts or any creative idea you might have. Renting out their campsite varies with availability. There are different rental types and fees, but also discount pricing for scouting and non-profit groups.

Three volunteer board members explain why you should come experience what they call a one of a kind local treasure. For more information, history and registration visit their website.
